Wrapping Up Old Projects and Beginning New

I spent this past weekend wrapping up old projects, starting new projects, and looking for inspiration.  I have really been enjoying the Celebrate the Boy month and can't wait to start some new things for my son in addition to my daughter.  And with St. Patrick's Day, Easter, and Spring, it seems like there is inspiration everywhere.  So, expect new projects in the next few weeks.

Until then, I wanted to share one of the projects I was wrapping up this weekend.  This is a variation on the tea set, but I customized it for a co-worker of mine.  She and her husband are big Hokie fans, so in honor of their daughter's 2nd birthday, I made a custom Virginia Tech set.  As much as I love the sweetness of the pink goodies, I've enjoyed the variation.

Oh, and here's the other thing that I enjoyed this weekend. He is so ready to crawl.  Not bad considering he isn't even five months old.

Thanks Kelly. At the moment he can get into position and then he just throws himself forward. It's rather amusing to watch. I think he is motivated by a desire to get his sister's toys.

CJ- His so cute, I want to hold him and squeeze him his handsome. My little boy is 17 yrs old and almost out the door to become a Marine. This brings tears to my eyes to remember he was just like yours yesterday and in a blink of an eye he became a young man. How time flies enjoy every minute of it, it will fly fast I have experienced it and not looking for the departure moment, his going into the Marines in a couple of months as soon as he graduates HS. The tea sets are really my inspiration you help me so much to keep busy and not think of my son departure, I am looking forward to making more stuff although I have no one to give them to. I have no family close by they are really far, it's ok one day. Oh my brownies did not come out quite as nice as yours will forward you a pic, but I tried, in the other hand cookies and tea bags are my favorite for now. Can not wait what you have in store for us in the next days. Thank you CJ for being a friend.

Hugs,

Maria

Maria: I spent my childhood surrounded by Marines (Marine brat born and raised) and cannot imagine how hard it must be for you to watch your son join. I pray that his remaining months in HS will offer you time to spend together and treasure one another.

Regarding the crafts, I wonder if there are any childrens' groups that might welcome gifts for kids... maybe a children's ward in a hospital or an organization for children of soldiers. I'm sure that there are many children who would love a special treat made with love.

Ahh CJ that is a great idea see I knew we click. I will go over to a daycare or the nearest hospital and find out. I will let you know what they say I hope so, because all these items need to be played with.

Thanks CJ
