Hanger Labels [WFMW]

Mornings in our house have been rather hectic since I returned to work.  Between pumping, getting myself showered and ready, getting my daughter dressed and pig-tailed (I'm adding to the English language here), nursing my son, and getting him dressed, it sometimes seems like a miracle that I get to work on time.  And that is with their father handling feeding our daughter and dropping them off at day-care (unless it is a daddy-at-home day).  So when I saw these hanger labels on No Fuss Fabulous, I loved the idea.

The pink didn't exactly go with my beach-inspired room, so I decided to make up some custom designs for myself.  Using Microsoft Word and Clip Art, I came up with basic designs incorporating coral, sea horses, starfish, and sea shells.

These hangers have been such a help.  Since I am still losing the baby weight, my wardrobe is rather limited.  I do laundry on Saturday.  So, either Saturday or Sunday I run through and lay out my clothes for the week.  It means I always have something ready to go in the morning and don't ever have the dilemma of having nothing clean to wear.

These hanger labels worked so well that I created a custom set for my daughter as well.  Hers match her whimsical garden-inspired pink and green room... sun, flowers, owls, butterflies, etc.  The other great advantage is that my husband can help get my daughter dressed without having to ask what I want her to wear.  He just grabs the day's hanger and has everything he needs.  No thought dressing... particularly useful if he hasn't had his coffee yet.

Based on our lifestyle, I made the labels for Monday through Friday and then Sunday.  Saturdays tend to be lower key around here.

For now, my son has plenty of baby clothes and doesn't need these.  However, I do plan on making a set for him one day, probably with anchors and sailboats.

How do you make your morning routine easier?

This is a real neat idea, I remember those days, even if I am not that old but remember those days that I just had to catch my breath. Never thought they end and they sure did, but with sadness. But excitement also. See I worked so much that when my son entered HS I took a vote and said no more I will enjoy my son, needless to say these years been tough because he no longer wanted to hang with mom. But his friends consider me their moms also. I am only 38yrs old and my husband and us are not rich, but manage to stretch what we have so it's best to give than to receive. I had the opportunity to be a co-worker, friend, enemy, gossip girl, work over time, cut hours you name it I was there. But time to be me. A pair of sweat pants pony tale and lets gogogogoo all day. I like it best so enjoy them. While we walk together in life.

Great idea. There is actually a paper you can use on your printers that is waterproof and tough to tear. That would be perfect for this. But clear contact would give it more life as well. Thanks for sharing.

Cute idea! My sister-in-law did this with her kid's clothes and she loved it. I really have nothing to add to the whole "how do you make your routine easier" because right now we truly aren't doing anything to make it easier :)
